American Literature

American Literature to me are thoughts/ ideas that has meaning behind it. It could also be historical, fiction, poetry, etc. Since it's American it has to be related or written in America. Anyone in the U.S can contribute in American Literature. The essays you've written in high school, analytical papers that you struggled with in college are all considered American Literature. Written work that has been written by you has your thoughts and ideas that you made so that other readers will understand and take in your work.
